How long does it take to have a portrait done?

Approximately 3 days to one week to produce a great portrait. In busy seasons (Mother's Day, Christmas, Valentines) it is best to get your name on the waitlist as soon as possible to ensure there is sufficient time to have it framed before gift giving.

What makes a good reference photo?

A good reference photo is one where you can see up close the features of the subject. The direction of the fur, the color of the eyes, the distinction of shades in their coat. High resolution, good lighting are essential.

What sizes do you offer?

9 x 12 is what I like to work in and I have stock in various shades to choose from. Larger sizes are available, price quotes are available upon request. Email hollyfoxellis@gmail.com Subject: Pet Portrait

Smaller portraits (5 x 7) are available with a really good reference photo. As I am sight impaired, I do not like to work very small. It does not take any less amount of time because it is smaller it may even take longer.

What is the price of a (9 x 12) ?

- 9 x 12 is $214.00 with a $50.00 non- refundable deposit to hold your spot on the wait list via e-transfer to hollyfoxellis@gmail.com with the name of your pet as the password, please. The remainder to be paid when complete, $164.00 can be paid when picking up/ delivered/ mailed, by cash or E-Transfer.

More about the Custom Portraits

All Custom Colored Pencil Pet Portraits are done on archival 100lb. paper. Colored Pencils used are : Faber Castel- Albrecht Durer, Caran D'Ache- Luminance and Caran D'Ache Museum Aquarelle. The completed portrait is sprayed with a Non Yellowing, Non Toxic, UV resistant Final Fixative.

The Custom Colored Pencil Pet Portrait is scanned and packaged in a cellophane envelope, with 4 -5 business cards for you to pass on to others who may be in need of my services. :) Covid precautions: The packaging is wiped with alcohol disinfectant to await pick up/ delivery.
